Calvary Family Church History

We have a long and interesting history.  Our roots date back to 1890 here in the great city of Indianapolis, IN.  We are affiliated with the Indiana Wesleyan District.  Like many other churches we have had many pastors through the years.  Our current pastor, Pastor Barry Dixon, became our pastor in October of 2009.  He is a energetic, spiritual, inspiring, motivating and God-fearing minister whom God has appointed to be our leader.  We are blessed to have Pastor Dixon and his family with us.  Through life’s many challenges we are still standing by the Power of God.  We are extremely excited about kingdom building.  We will continue to serve the Lord with Gladness as we pursue our mission to bring more souls to Christ.

What We Believe

We believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth:  And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day He rose from the dead; he ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.  We believe in the Holy Spirit, the universal Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, and the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
